10 Fun Facts about Pastor Melodi:

1. I have graduated from Jackson Center High School, Wittenberg University, and Luther Seminary.
2. I have lived in Milwaukee, WI, St. Paul, MN, and Lancaster, MN. I have witnessed God’s mission in Ethiopia, India, and Haiti
3. My passion is teaching contemplative prayer practices through art, silence, cooking, and exercise.
4. This summer we have enjoyed gardening, reading books, fishing, and hosting friends from MN.
5. Daisy is our newest family member. An 8 month old black lab and shepherd mix. We welcome any advice on raising a new puppy!
6. We will be traveling back and forth every winter and summer to North Dakota and Minnesota to visit our extended Hagen family and our Sion Lutheran Family where I last served in Lancaster, MN for eight years.
7. We live on the farm where my Grandpa, Mother, and I were raised, between Anna and Jackson Center.
8. We have two daughters. Anna is 8 and going into 3^rd grade. Olivia is 5 and going into Kindergarten. They both love animals and music.
9. My husband Eric works at Koenig in Anna. We have been married for 12 years and we enjoy leading mission trips together and our monthly date nights.
10. My favorite bible verse comes from Romans 5:3-5. Suffering produces perseverance, character, and hope. And God’s hope will never disappoint you! I believe going through hard things in this life doesn’t make me stronger, but makes me more aware of what a gracious and loving God we get to serve.
